Workshop dates

Saturday 10th February, one-day workshop
Hearts and flowers are by no means compulsory, but why not make a Valentine’s surprise for your significant other?  Or even better, invite them to join you for a day of shared creativity.

Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th February Two-day workshop in reduction printmaking
Reduction printmaking is a method of creating multi-coloured prints using a single linoleum block, which is gradually carved or modified for each layer of colour. In this two-day workshop, participants will have ample time to delve into the intricacies of the technique, carefully plan their designs, and craft a one-of-a-kind, multi-coloured reduction lino print.

Workshops
Workshops are 10 am – 3 pm, at The Palace Hub, Redcar.  All materials are included in the cost of £40 for one-day courses and £80 for two-day courses, as well as tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and snacks.

No previous experience is required.  All workshops are designed for complete beginners as well as those with some printmaking experience. Small groups mean that there is plenty of individual tuition. Bookings can be made using the contact form. Payment will be requested, and this secures your place.

Reduction Lino Print workshop
Reduction printing is a way of producing a multi-coloured print from a single piece of lino.  A bit more detail is carved into the lino in between each layer of colour and the print is usually worked from the lightest colour to the darkest. It’s a good idea to have an image or images in mind before the course. There are one-day and two-day courses in reduction printing.

Multi-block lino prints workshop
This is a way of producing multi-coloured prints from more than one block of lino.  These blocks can be registered exactly in the same place to build up an image, or they can be used more like stamps to build up layers of pattern and texture. This workshop is a two-day workshop.

General
A General workshop could be for you, either if you’re confident that you know what you’d like to achieve or if you’re feeling a bit nervous and just want to try something quite simple.  It’s a kind of, “do whatever you want” sort of day, and as with other workshops it is for complete beginners as well as those with some printmaking experience. This is a one-day workshop.

Vouchers
If you would like to purchase a voucher for someone as a gift, I will email a printable voucher, either to you or to the recipient. They can then book any workshop listed on the Minouche website within 12 months of issue. (Order via the contact form, BACS payment preferred)
